Getting dressed in 2023 can be overwhelming. Competing trends and styles in menswear have created an endless sea of options for self-expression. Oversized fits are just as prevalent as the Hedi look that dominated menswear for nearly a decade. Technical apparel is no longer restricted to the great outdoors; anything slimmer than a relaxed cut is deemed passé. With so many extremes, where can one find a happy medium?

Adsum provides the answer.

Founded in 2015 by Mark McNairy alum Pete Macnee, Adsum is an American clothing company focused on high quality manufacturing and design. The brand produces classic silhouettes in traditional and technical fabrics inspired by the cities and countryside of the American Northeast. Like your favourite vintage workwear or outdoor gear, Adsum prioritizes practicality and subtlety. Their clothing is cut for the everyman - like being let in on a secret that the rest of the industry isn't privy to.

There's something satisfying about a perfectly cut pair of 5-pocket jeans, reminiscent of the 501s you may or may not have stumbled upon after scouring eBay or your local thrift shop. Every item from Adsum is like that. For example, the length of their jackets, which are cropped but not exaggerated, or their down gear that feels like it could have been ordered straight from an REI catalogue in 1996, garish logos notwithstanding.

Our first delivery from Adsum includes an array of cut-and-sew apparel and accessories. Mid-weight flannels and over-dyed denim are contrasted by ultra-lightweight technical shell jackets and shorts. A 90’s inspired colour palette reminiscent of vintage Patagonia gives each item a timeless and eye-catching look. Bags featuring durable ripstop fabrics and metal hardware complement equally sturdy apparel.
