The Livestock Velosamba “TRIPLE RUSH” is an ode to the bicycle couriers that filled the streets from Berlin to Toronto throughout the 80’s and into the early 2000's.

Their chosen uniforms were a juxtaposition of styles, from work wear and military surplus, to technical fabrics and race apparel. High end rain shells to keep dry were styled with work pants built to withstand the asphalt. If it didn’t perform, then it didn’t make the cut.

The Livestock Velosamba “TRIPLE RUSH” pays homage to this community by pairing technical ballistic nylons with hard wearing suede, hi-visibility branding, and 3M details. “TRIPLE RUSH”—a term coined by NYC bike messenger dispatchers to denote the highest priority packages—is emblazoned on the side of the shoe in vibrant orange next to adidas’ iconic three stripes.

Founded in 2012, Standert is a rider-owned performance and urban bike brand from Berlin that is filling the gap between bespoke bicycles and mass production.

Together with Standert, we designed a custom-painted, one-of-one Umlaufbahn bike that reflects the energy of the Livestock Velosamba. The Umlaufbahn frame is Standert’s answer to the perfect track bike: light and stiff enough for the velodrome while remaining highly capable in the streets. The groupset and wheels were chosen to achieve the ideal balance of performance and durability. For the final touch, we removed the bottle and brake mounts to create the ultimate unadulterated speed machine.
