Livestock is proud to introduce “Find Peace in the Pieces”, an activation designed and produced by Livestock with support from Nike ISPA. Through sculpture, video, and music, an ephemeral multimedia experience has been created that reflects the philosophy of Nike ISPA: improvisation, scavenging, protection and adaptation.
Located at our Toronto flagship, the activation features a mech sculpture created by artist Junko completely from scavenged materials, a video installation by GHOST CURRENCY and music provided by Tony Price of L.I.E.S. Records.
Saltspring Island-based artist Junko Playtime is known for his large-scale sculptures crafted from exclusively scavenged materials and objects. Using only his bicycle and self-constructed trailers to gather the components, Junko has built a 10’ long x 8’ tall and 4’ wide dragon sculpture inspired by the Nike ISPA SENSE and its zen garden inspirations.
Through sculpture, video, and music, an ephemeral multimedia experience has been created that reflects the philosophy of Nike ISPA.
Toronto-based director Steven Meyers followed and documented Junko along his build process. He spun the footage along with other zen-inspired ISPA imagery into a 10-minute edit, giving real context to Junko’s process of building and its direct correlation to the ISPA brand ethos.
Your favourite producers' favourite producer, and Toronto's best-kept secret, Tony Price (aka Maximum Exposure), provided a 9-hour playlist of genre-bending electronic music for the activation. Comprised of fuzzy techno and futuristic soundscapes, the playlist is available to listen to now on Spotify.
